Just in case you thought all I worked on was boats, here’s proof I’m not quite a one trick pony. If you ever want woodwork done that’s a bit out of the ordinary, call a boat builder, they won’t even flinch. This is the beginnings of a dining room table for a longtime customer. The customer designed it himself, and it employs a torsion box type top that’s built like a stressed skin airplane wing. It’ll be covered in Corian, and sit on a ballasted pedestal base. Will it look good? I don’t know, not for me to decide, but it’ll be strong like bull!
